I have always loved the Bellevue-Staten Building on Lake Merritt. Built in 1929, it is a mix of Spanish Colonial and Art Deco architecture. This is one of many paintings I will be doing with this great landmark included. I found this vantage point one morning and discovered this long stretch of lawn is a favorite spot to play fetch.
